North Hollywood was founded in 1887 by William Mulholland, who built an aqueduct that brought water from the San Fernando Valley to his new town. In the 1920s, North Hollywood became famous for its movie studios.
Today, North Hollywood is home to more than 100,000 residents. It has become one of the most popular places to live in Los Angeles County.

North Hollywood is a community that has been home to many famous people over the years. Some of these include actors Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, and John Travolta; musicians Neil Diamond, The Beach Boys, and Stevie Wonder; and comedians Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, and Richard Pryor.

In addition to being home to many famous people, North Hollywood is also home to many entertainment industry businesses. These include studios such as Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, and Disney Studios. There are also several television stations based in North Hollywood, including KTLA 5, KNBC 4, KCAL 9, and KCBS 2.

The city has been nicknamed “Hollywood East” because of its proximity to Los Angeles. However, unlike other parts of LA County, North Hollywood does not have a large population of residents who work in the entertainment industry. As a result, there are fewer opportunities for employment here than in other areas of the county.
In addition to being home to many entertainment companies, North Hollywood is also home to several universities, such as California State University, Northridge, which offers degrees in business administration, education, psychology, and social work.

The city has been named one of the top 10 places to live in Los Angeles County by Money Magazine. North Hollywood is located in the San Fernando Valley, which is bordered by the Santa Monica Mountains to the west, the Pacific Ocean to the east, and the San Gabriel River to the south.

The city is home to the headquarters of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 706, and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

North Hollywood is located in Los Angles County, California. The city covers an area of approximately 3.2 square miles. The population density of North Hollywood is estimated at 6,852 per square mile. The population of North Hollywood was estimated at 50,068 in 2010.

North Hollywood is home to many attractions, including the American Cinematheque, the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and the Museum of Tolerance. The neighborhood also offers plenty of dining options, shopping, and entertainment.
The Museum of Broken Relationships is located in North Hollywood. This museum was founded by Dr. John Griggs Nichols in 1996. He wanted to help people who had lost loved ones due to war, accidents, violence, and other tragedies.

The Museum of Broken Relation ships has been featured on many television shows such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Dateline NBC. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is $10 per person.
