Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an outdoor monument, lining the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard. It is located at Hollywood Boulevard, Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90028.A Dolby Theatre in the foreground marks the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard with Highland Avenue. Woodward was not the first to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, Johnny Grant and Gene Kelly were both present for the 1991 ceremony. These stars are dedicated to all the great people who have made Hollywood a world-renowned entertainment destination.

Many celebrities have stars along the walk, ranging from athletes to actors. Celebrities who have stars on the walk can search their star by using the online tool Star Search. Celebrities are honoured with a symbol on each star, including a famous body part. A star for Disneyland is shaped like the building, while one dedicated to the Los Angeles Police Department features a distinctive badge. The Hollywood Walk of Fame also honors the legacy of ethnic groups that have made the Los Angeles area an entertainment hotspot.

Besides the Hollywood Walk of Fame, tourists should also check out the nearby Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. While they may not live in these neighborhoods, many celebrities have large fences around their homes. Therefore, visitors are likely to see them in upscale boutiques and newly opened restaurants. These boutiques and restaurants have been decorated by the stars. The celebrity-filled walk of fame is one of the most iconic places in Los Angeles.

Among the first people to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame are Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan. Both men received stars for their roles in television and in the movies. And as for the celebrities, there are also many more. Currently, there are nearly sixty people with one-word stage names on the Walk of Fame, including three celebrities who are involved in the film industry. The first African-American to win an Oscar for costume design was Ruth E. Carter.

Despite its proximity to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Forever Cemetery offers many things to do. It has a farmers market and street markets where you can purchase seasonal produce and handmade goods. You can also check out the Dolby Theater, which is the permanent home of the Academy Awards. It opened its doors in 2001 as the Kodak Theatre. This theater is a part of Hollywood's Highland Center.

You can take a cab from LAX to Hollywood. However, if you're traveling by plane, you'll want to take public transportation. The trains are few, and subways will not be fully operational until 2028. Luckily, there are buses, but even buses can be slow and can take an hour or more. Alternatively, you can use Uber or Lyft. The latter is usually much cheaper and more reliable than a regular cab.

If you want to experience the history of Hollywood, take the TCL Chinese Theatre tour. It offers a variety of fun facts about Hollywood and celebrity stories. It has the world's largest IMAX theater. The theatre's IMAX laser projection offers an incredibly vivid, sharp, and detailed digital movie experience. While the TCL Chinese Theatre is an entertainment hub, it is not rated as a museum.
